The family lived in Clarence St in Kingstown and then in Cumberland St. In the 1901 census the family was in York St (now York Road), and it was from there that William was married in August 1901 to Anne Kinch of Patrick Street. In the 1911 census William and Annie were living in Barrett St. Kingstown with five children, two more children having died.
William Brennan was working on the RMS Leinster on the 10th October 1918 as a Seaman. He did not survive the sinking and his body was not recovered. He is remembered on the Commonwealth War Graves Memorial at Tower Hill, London. He was aged 36.
